Yes, here I am again canvassing for yet more business (the holiday is coming up fast)!

Item number: 4556176934 is my auction for a set of Spoilers if anyone is interested.

Any sad individual who wants to try and bid under a spurious name and then balls up my feedback need not bother!

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE - DONNA!

Thanks all.

Hi Johnny,
What a shame, I am having to sell my P6 later this year, so I won't be bidding but good luck with the auction.
Cheers
Al
P.S. If anyone is interested my P6 is a 1974 Lunar grey 3500s with P.A.S 16" alloys, black boxpleat leather (not ambla), Square eights, boot mount spare, sundym glass, rear seat belts, 12 months MOT 10 months tax, central locking and a v.solid base unit it will be on my site http://www.p-six.co.uk in a couple of weeks time when I have fixed the heater and decided what sort of price to put on it. It will be a very sad day for me when it goes it took me over a year to find a good useable car and I know I will regret selling it but the wife will be giving up work in september (for child number 2) and as such some of my toys will have to go

My second child is due in November and I fear soon that I too will be having my earn bent by the wife

I will therefore be using it as my everyday car over the summer in anticipation of it too being up for sale.

Dave.

Come on guys?? The P6 is an ideal family car!!! Designed with safety in mind. Add rear seatbelts and there you go.

Doesnt depreciate (not compared to a modern car anyway) and if converted to LPG is very cheap to run.

We have 2 kids age 7 and 9. They love the P6 and argue a lot less when they are ^passengers than when they are in a modern computerised heap of poo.

Mine has been my everyday car since I got it, and has never let me down (apart from when I left the lights on so the battery was flat in the morning, but that was my fault not the car!) My 3 yr old is going to be gutted, he generally introduces himself to adults with "daddys Rovers got a V8" then, if the car is available proceeds to show any interested parties the V8 badges. I have no doubts that one day I will get another, as no other classic I have owned or driven can match it as an everyday vehicle capable of keeping up with modern traffic but at the moment finances dictate that it has to go! In case you are wondering when the rover has gone it will be back to my 1972 beetle (tax exempt, slightly better fuel consumption - but not as much as you might think and spares so cheap they might as well be giving them away how does £27.50 for a brand new wing grab you? or £59.95 for a bonnet again brand new or even £80 for a full set of barrels and pistons that will take the engine up to a far more useable 1600cc) Obviously its not going to be as good an every day car as the Rover but as we have an every day car as well I cannot justify keeping them all.
I know what you are thinking why not get rid of the Beetle and keep the Rover? well apart from the tax exempt thing the beetle was my wifes first car, she bought it when she got her first job after Uni, then in 1995 it had a complete 'body off' restoration and was used as the brides transport to our wedding, hence huge sentimental value in our family. After that it was used less and less frequently and has, mainly due to neglect become a bit scabby and so is not worth as much as the rover. oh well at least when the next sprog arrives I will be too tired to lament the loss of my car and not really care what I am driving!
Cheers
Al

Hi Zebedee,
Sorry I was writing the above when you posted your message so missed it, I agree wholeheartedly the Rover is the perfect family classic, mine even has rear seatbelts fitted already! but unfortunately the air cooled teuton has too much history to be let go, it even has a name!
Cheers
Al
