Old seats new seats - pesky series 2 inertia real shape

Hi all,

For a while have been hunting down some new leather seats as mine (red, flat pleat series 2) are past colouring and re-trimming the only option. If you've had this done you know why I havnt - it costs more than a 'mere' 2000sc is worth and I want to keep as original as I can.

So when I found a complete set of light grey seats in perfect nick (and I mean luvv-errr-leeyy) in a scrapper down a breakers yard I jumped on them. Then took them out if the car :p

It wasnt till I got home and was comfort testing them that I realised the series 2 car Id chavved them out of was very eary so they dont have the inertia real seat belt cut outs.

My question is, is there any way of canibalising my old seats to give the new ones the required cut away, or does anyone know of a really small inertia real that can fit into the space?

Any help appreciated before I get the Woolies kit out and paint them red!

Regards

Matt
