NEC Classic Car Show

The NEC Classic Car Show took place this weekend. Once again it was down to the guys from the South to get the club stand equipment up to the NEC at short notice. Hopefully next year it will be organised by someone from the Midlands/North and arrangements made to get the club trailer up to the show rather than using a transit van.

There were 3 members manning the stand on Fri & Sat and 6+ on Sun.

Pity neither of the Membership Secretaries could attend the show or provide the hand held credit card machine or all the club regalia. The only regalia on sale was what Allen Hewitt held which was not a great deal. There were no Binders on sale and only a few Membership Packs which were left on the club trailer. The club did take a few new members at the weekend.

Hopefully the Membership Secretaries will be attending the Ally Pally Show in February 2007 and the NEC Show in November 2007.

Beautiful cars.
Wish I had the cash to buy that red V8.
I spoke to a lady on the P6 stand. Had blonde hair in a perm? Was it yourself?

I was the guy in the black leather jacket with long hair following a small guy!
... ok so im not really that memorable then! :p

Hello there. Saw the stand this year. Spoke with Ian Trapp who lukd lyk he had been working his nuts off poor bloke.

The lady who had blonde perm hair was Pat Smith who is married to Paul Smith who owned the pre-production Grey P6.

I was the Membership Secretary who attend both the NEC & Ally Pally Classic Car Shows but resigned this year. Neither Mike or Deborah who deal with membership now attended the NEC Show. Maybe they will be attending the Ally Pally Show at the end of February 2007.

Just because you attended both doesn't mean they have to , its all voluntary and sometimes people are involved with things like work or family.
so maybe they will appear at Ally Pally :)

Just because they wernt at the show doesnt mean they dont work hard at what they do.
Maybe you should see the best in people not the worst?

people put time and effort into their chosen hobby but at the end of the day a hobby isn't away of life.
I know from experience how much needs to be put into running a club and saw my friend spend her days off working on the club mag inputting adverts and sometimes typing articals for publication.
so yes give some praise instead of negitivity. maybe Brenda if you feel so attached to your old post you should resume it and carry on the good work hun! You were good at organising it even if people don't realise it although you are human we all make mistakes but at heart doing a good job is all that matters
