my road car not only still has the mystery misfire, leaks and needs desperate surgerybut i discovered the mot ran out in august!
so it was booked in y'day and thats 5 in a row without a problem!
the only thing it does well is mot!
i had 5 advisories this year though!
welding to the drivers footwell (the leak!)
and all 4 tyres!
pretty slick aye!
and yes these are the dunlop wheels that may be metric!
oops!
so its goodbye dunlop , hello minilites!

Well done with the MOT, you did well to get from August to November without realising ! Good job Plod didn't spot you either !

yes, i was quite lucky for gone are the days when a current tax disc was good enough!
i know 2 people who have been done recently one who's mot was only a week out!
i live on a back road mind and i don;t go far!
hey ho!
legal now though!

I drove 'Hazel' from when we got her in June '07 until April '08 thinking that was MOT time, when it had been the November.

...which reminds me... :)

To state the obvious the problem manifests itself because the road tax renewal date gets out of sync with the MOT renewal date. This is true on vast numbers of cars. One can go on-line and look for the renewal date on the government website but who is going to do that when you can just stand in front of the car (in the rain) and have a look. Some garages place a sticker inside the car when they do the MOT showing the next MOT date whilst others write and remind you hoping to get your business. The real answer of course is for the government website to hold an e-mail address and automatically generate an e-reminder once a year but maybe that is too easy! Maybe the club should write and suggest it or send a letter to the Times. Good publicity eh. Although someone will probably write back saying why do you not put it in your diary!

Cheers

Tony
