just re entered the P6 world

Hello. I have just bought a series 1 2000SC and though I would drop in to this forum to say hello. Well, in fact, I'm dead pleased!!! I have owned 3 other P6's in the past, another 2000SC (my first car) a 2000TC, and a 3500s (because everyone has to own one at some point in their life) The car I now have is one of the best examples I have ever seen. I was out shopping for a Euro box as I have an MG Midget as my summer and stumbled across another P6. I found it in a showroom next to a line of BSA's Triumph's and Enfields. I couldn't resist and flew round to the bank. It has a small "L" shaped rip in the drivers door card about 3/8 by 1/2 but thats about it.

A big welcome to you Nick!

You'll find lots of friendly help & advice on here - but you probably don't need much of that at the moment if your car's in really good condition :D

Any chance of some pictures? - we like pictures on here!

Hi Nick!

Welcome back to planet P6!

This is where we find out how good you are at a computer! When you go to the window to write a post, you should see a dark grey panel with some tick boxes below the writing panel. This has two tabs. As standard the Options tab is shown, so click on "upload attachments" and see how you get on. The main hazard with this approach is that your picture is too large to be fully displayed. I get bamboozeled by all these photo reduction programmes and haven't yet found one that works at my skill level. So I simply email my picture back to myself using the "add file", "photo" functions on Hotmail. That produces a result on the forum that is just right! Alternatively you can use a photo storage site like Flicker and simply link to your photos using the URL or IMG buttons above the poting panel.

Best of luck - more detail help if you get stuck - try learning to use the pm function instead of email to contact other members (look below your name!).

Chris

my "very English" photo of my car. The AA box is genuine!

Hi Nick,

What a lovely car, I understand why you were 'persuaded' to buy it instead of modern car, but surely it's too nice to use everyday?

Though my new car is more than good enough for show entry, that's just not me. I have my midget for sunny days and the Rover for the rest. I did have a Citroen Xsara Picoso as a daily driver and hated it with a passion. Typically French and highly practical but oh so UGLY! The Rover is just lush and the Midget is a true monster. I could store the Rover and polish it and show it and blah blah blah, but I want to enjoy it. And I really do!

Fully approve of P6 daily drivers. I have jsut started using a P6 as my daily driver and not a morning has gone by without someone on the M25 giveing my a thumbs up with a huge grin - but it has been to couple of shows too! Even managed to get all three of my cars to the last show as it was only ten minutes walk from home (had some help from fellow enthusiasts geting them all home in one go though!)
