This may be of help to others. I have experimented with various interior cleaners and found that the apple-scented Groom cleaner is really good. I have cleaned up the headlining, door trims, plastic and carpet. The difference with this product is that it foams and lifts the dirt out and leaves tired surfaces looking fresh and clean. It also leaves a nice apple fragrance to the interior. You may need a small nail brush for the textured plastic to lift all the dirt out, but this does work a treat!
 
I've had good results with Vanish . Pour some in a bucket with water , whip up the foam and use the foam on filthy carpets etc
 
My P6 had a strange kind of smell like old English man's trousers when I bought it. The refreshing apple fragrance is somewhat preferable!
