immaculate Colorado '70 NADA P6 - Sky blue metallic beauty

The Rover Repair Operation Manual shows the reserve tap mounted below the fuel tank and also in the engine bay. It would appear that the below the tank mounting was for NADA vehicles. My P6b has box pleat AMBLA trim but the front seats also have large sheepskin covers, like many cars in NZ. They are cool in summer and warm in winter and I am sure they are more comfortable than straw as favoured by Demetris.

I have marked the photo as I think it looks.

I see the reserve cable, brake pipe, fuel supply pipe and two other pipes. The pipe marked 2. looks like it goes to the middle tap and the other is cut off in the photo and I can't tell where it goes.

But both pipe 1. and 2. go to the front of the car, if only one is fuel supply what is the other? do the NADA cars have a fuel return pipe?

Apart from the reserve tap , is the fuel pump the right type and in the right place ? If we are nitpicking it's a pity he's used a bit of universal strip as the bracket

Harvey,

I thought the 2nd pipe may be a return fuel line.

I am sure my 2200 does have a return but it has the HIF carbs. my P5b as the HS carbs and has a return.

Quite an interesting difference on the NADA spec that I don't think many would even think about.
