Welcome aboard!

Cheers,

Hi Stan, Thanks for your kind words.I will endevour to take some of the interior over the weekend. One thing how do I place the photos on the site I cannot find a browser any where can you help ? It will be appreicated.regards Bob

Hi Bob,

No problem..it's easy once you get the hang of it!

There are 2 ways to do it: Direct Post (definitely the easiest, but see the note on file size) or use a photo-hosting site.

Direct Post

When you click to start a new forum topic or post a reply on an already-running topic, a window opens for you to input your message. Underneath this window you'll see 3 blue tabs - click on the one marked "Upload attachment" and a grey button will appear marked "Browse".

Click on this and an Explorer window will open - use this to browse to the picture you want to post. Highlight it and click "Open" Once the image has loaded to the site its filename will appear in the window next to the grey "Browse" button. Note - the maximum file size is 512 kb. If you then click the "Add the file" button the file will load to the site in a few seconds and you will see its filename appear.

Underneath the filename there will be 2 new grey buttons. Click "Place inline" and the attachment text will appear in your original message window. If you then click the "Preview" button you should see the picture appear. Nothing has been posted at this point so you can carry on editing and typing in your message. You can Preview as many times as you like and, once you're happy with your final preview, click Submit. And that's it! Hope this all makes sense Bob.

Photo-hosting

You can use this for larger files. I use Photobucket -

http://photobucket.com/

You need to create a (free) account, then just follow the instructions to create a personal album then upload your pictures to it. In the album settings make sure it's set as a public album. Once you've done that, each picture will have 4 lines of code beneath it. Use the bottom one and copy and paste into your message. Then continue as above with previewing etc.

Good Luck!

Cheers for now,
Stan

Hi Stan Thanks for your help A photo of the car is on the site you need to click on the blank space move the arrows up and domn and the picture will appear.I will take better shots shortly weather in Kent cold and and cloudy. Thanks for your help regards Bob

Hello Bob. I have taken the liberty of 'cropping' your photograph, removing the large white background area, and have re-posted the smaller image. It should show up easier in people's browser. If you have any image manipulation software you might want to similarly 'crop' any further photos to reduce the unnecessary large border. It also reduces the file size of your image, so it loads faster.
Nice car by the way. Are you a former Metropolitan Police Officer who drove this car when it was in service, may I ask? I'm a London-born expatriate restoring a '72 3500 in Berlin. What shade of blue is your Police car? What enhancements did the Met Police cars have over the models sold to the public?
