Good Day folks

My fuel sender has developed a leak from one of the joints .

How easy is it to resolder the joint ? and do I need any special tools ? Or will a soldering do the job ?

Many Thanks

Adam

I highly recommend draining the tank and removing the sender so as to be able to solder it on your workbench. I reckon trying to do it in situ would be an explosive experience! I'm sure you wouldn't do anything stupid! Apologies if that isn't the slightest bit helpful.

I was planning to remove the sender unit first ,I don't fancy trying to solder a leaky sender unit ,lying on my back with a hot soldering iron in my hand ,and petrol leaking out !!

Can you use just a normal soldering iron ?

Thanks .
