Interesting in as much as it has an *XC registration and is in the same spec as it left the factory, which would make it the first one in 1966 to have the series two waist mouldings, wing mounted reflectors and vinyl 3/4 panels then. (?)

Wonder if it has any connection to the factory though, although if it has it looks a bit beyond saving unless you were very keen.

The car could have factory connections - some of the press cars that year were 'LXC' - and Humphrey Steven's white car, also an 'LXC' was a factory hack.

Need a look in the factory registrations book to really know. They have all from early 1966 onwards. The book with the early cars is missing, very regretably.
