Hallo,
Besides having waist trim holes on them, do series 2 doors share the same handle fixings/aperture as series 1s ?? ???

Ta, Drew

hi drew,
I am back in wet 'n' windy uk,just looked at my s1 and s2 doors, look the same to me!

Hi Drew

There are two different types of hinge. They look identical but the pin from one type doesn't work in the other type (important if you are swapping doors and do it the lazy way so you finish up with 1/2 a hinge from the new door onto 1/2 hinge on the base unit from the old one!). I believe the two types are interchangeable so I'm not sure whether the change date coincides with S1 / S2. Ian Wilson should be able to elaborate if that isn't clear!

Then of course there are the two different types of door handle (but using the same mounting holes) which do change S1 to S2. Early door locks are round versus the later lozenge shape with a sprung cover which does give you a different aperture shape; but I think that changes before the switch to S2.

Regards

Chris

Chris,
Cheers. Aware of the handles being different, wasn`t certain as to them using the same apertures. It looks as if they do on paper, or on screen, but I don`t have the s2 to compare, but have it on good authority that they`re not different ??? ? Reason for asking is I want to bid on the ones on ebay that aren`t too far from me, but don`t have the time to see them before auction ends.
