I know this might get pulled but I'm perpared to get a ticking off once and not do it again!
item 4532075199 -also 4532075215
cheap to clear too good to bin!

I'll take advantage then - spotted something else being sold by same seller - I'll get on my high horse quote "SHIPPING IS FOR UK MAIN LAND ONLY. I DO NOT SHIP OFF SHORE SO DO NOT BID OR ASK IF YOU CAN BID. "

When payment is made by paypal from people with feedback - Why the objection to posting items abroad?. Certain other ebay sellers who deal with P6 parts are more than happy to. They get a higher price (if the overseas bidder puts in a higher bid).

I for example buy a lot of stuff from the UK.

I sold a radio to a woman in Malta three weeks ago - still waiting for payment.

I took a winning bid from a guy in Germany - an absolute nightmare.

That is why some people shy away. However, if you were to email the seller first, I am sure that there would not be a problem.

Johnny.

Johnny - Thats the whole point about feedback. eg my feedback rating is 123 and 100%. That is nearly 300 responses from 123 different people. Vast majority also state in feedback that I was a fast payer! Sure - if someone has duff feedback dont agree to sell to them. BUT my quote from sellers note is dont even bother to ask. Doesnt matter if you pay on the day - Doesnt matter if you can pay by either paypal or UK cheque, or bank transfer or however the seller wants it.

Its simple really. To obtain postage costs and to arrange shipping of big items in particular outwith the UK, in my experience takes up a great deal of time which I am not prepared to devote.
I know I'm loosing potential bids, but I simply accept that and try to make the auction terms very clear from the start to avoid dissapointment later to anyone who places a bid - Like the guy that bid on a complete headlining from a P6 which stated clearly in bold red type at the top of the auction "collection only". Ok, at the bottom of the auction I had a cost for shipping, my error, but we all live an learn.
If it was some ultra rare item that would fetch lots of money I'd put more time into shipping costs etc - this stuff well its on there cheap as chips just to hopefully pass it on to someone that will make use of it, rather than it going in the bin.
of course I have not said you can not arrange collection from outside the UK - but my work diary is eratic and I can not guarantee when I will be in to allow your courier to collect.

:)

oh yeah feedback
Its a good indicator of the seller (and buyer). I do have 1 negative comment - but if you go look closley at it and the preson that left it's feedback you will see they were simply time wasters.....
left me negative feedback .... because I did not send them anything..... err that was because they did not PAY for the item. Trying to e-bay to remove it so I can go from 99.5 back to 100%!

Its the sellers right to choose who to sell to - But if you know the weight - you know what the postage is going to be. The PO has leaflets (and info is online as well) that states cost to post to different countries (and the rates for within UK.

It takes no longer to weigh an item and pop it in the box and glance at the leaflet and then off to the PO and pay - than it does to do exactly the same for an item within the UK.

Yes - I can see problems where there is a language difference. But - you can work out whether that will be an issue from the language used in an email query.

Thank goodness there are many P6 parts sellers on ebay who do sell abroad. (some of whome are members of this forum) If they didnt then my estate would have been at the very least off the road (or even scrapped)

I'm not a P6 Parts seller - ie its not a buisness Ive ended up with a couple of scrap cars by default. So rather than bin bits that are useful, I can make a little of the cost incurred getting the scrap cars etc, and the cost of disposal of the shells back.

Also the cost of shipping the seats via post office would be probably more than I'd pay for a car!
:p
