Carpet Underlay

When I do overcome water sneaking in to the car, I think that new carpet underseal will be needed, but do you think that I can find anyone who supplies this material? not on your life, I'm sure there must be someplace that sells it, I think it comes in different thicknesses ( that word doesn't look right!) as you all know it's the very thick one that goes directly underneath the carpet, so, any one got any idea? Please.
Julian.

Coverdale carpets sell it by the meter, and I think in different widths!
When I got my new carpets made by them,I got it for free,so I paid a little extra to get some spare for the boot and other area's i wanted a little more!

Many thanks for that Pilkie, I've just found their site, and put my order in, they don't stock the same thickness as is in the car, but I'll put two or maybe three layers, I've ordered plenty!! Great Stuff!!!

Hi Julian.
Original main footwell carpets had the underlay built in,and then a layer of about 1/2" thick on the floor!
Your right its not as thick as the original thats why I got some extra!
Just a tip from one who found out! Buy a brand new pack of quality stanley knife blades,or use a big sharp pair of scissors! Coz its a bugger to cut with blunt tools!!
I have a good set of original footwell carpets in silver birch for a manual if you know anyone interested?
PM or E me!
Dave

The felt arrived this morning Dave, excellent, great service too, glad that I ordered extra now, as I can double it up and have a nice cushion under the carpet, many thanks for putting me on to " COVERDALE CARPETS "
