car not stop

help my p6 wont stop when i turn it off. the ignition light come's when you turn the key off on but the car.but still runs untill i take the earth lead off the battery . or the earth lead of the relay near to the fuse box. anybody know wot's wrong.fletch

Sounds like the ignition relay beside the fusebox is jammed on. You could try replacing it with another and seeing if that cures the fault.

when i pull the earth wire off you can hear the relay work

It sounds like the relay be might picking up a battery feed from somewhere. Try taking the ign signal wire
off the relay and see if there is 12v there with ign both on and off. Try checking that the ign switch is
actually switching the supply off. Have you done any other work to the car lately? Have you had any other
problems lately? Any thing else that might have overloaded any circuits and melted the loom and caused
an internal short? Any welding? Good luck!

Try with the alternator / dynamo disconnected.I'm wondering if the ignition light circuit is feeding back ?
