BW65 - selector problem

Is there anyone who can give me a clue where I can get hold of a selector for a gearbox BW65 - mine is crook and it 's difficult getting one here in Denmark. Name of producer: Burgess - still alive?? Thanks Chris Varming

Sorry, I should have been more specific to start with, but it's quite acute as I use my Rover daily. It's the starter/inhibitor reverse lamp switch itself, I have a SD-1 engine fitted in my P6 with a 65 BW automatic gearbox, the switch is black, made of plastic with the manufacturers name: Burgess Gateshead England, is that company still active and can I get it there?? Can U supply me with the exact address or can I approach the one you just gave me? Thanks, Chris Varming.

You can certainly try Walkers as he may have them. Ray Weekleys last listed price for a BW65 inhibitor switch is £57+VAT/postage. They've probably gone up a bit but you can get them alright. Any of the Rover specialists will probably supply them so shop around for the best price. Go to the links section of this site & you'll find the main P6 one's there. If you want to try 2nd hand contact Joseph, though he may also have new bits.
I just Googled -Burgess Gateshead- & a switch manufacturers comes up so they may be the company that made them & if so, they may have some old stock left even if they don't manufacture them anymore. Google them & try them first, you may save some money. :;):

Hi
Rimmer brothers sell this switches as well. But they are quite expensive. Here's the link:
Rimmerbros

The price is £76 incl. VAT + postage, but you will get in in few days, even here in Norway.

thanks for ur advice regarding my swithc problem. I've been in contact with the manufacturer and they had the switch in stock and will send me one. I contacted Ian Joseph they did not have one. In P6 News (just received) I found S&G Walker's adv., phoned them but out of stock. e-mailing ray@det.sys.demon.co.uk wrong e-mail address. But if anyone else should be in need of a switch the manufacturer's dealer: mick.cooper@access-electrical.co.uk have them in stock. regards, chris varming
