The theory is that the type 65 is much better/smoother than the 35 although I have a 1968 Three Thousand Five which obviously has the type 35 fitted which is quiet and as smooth as silk on changes up or down.
It must all depend on the condition and adjustment of downshift cable.
I wouldn't argue with the theory but I am very grateful for the smooth operation of my type 35.
