Bullet mirrors for P6 - Which will fit ?

I am going to replace the door mirrors on my 1972 3500, and am looking for bullet mirrors, and wonder if anyone can advise me where to get hold of a pair of suitable mirrors, new or secondhand.

There are companies that advertise in the classic car magazines.

Also have a look at the magazines for old mini's as there are loads advertised in them.

My 1973 model has similar mirrors to those used on MG's and other Leyland products right into the 80's. It has a short curved stem, which fastens to a seperate base with a grub screw, the base fastens to the door with screws, which are hidden when the unit is complete.
Anyway (!!!)......You can get a bullet mirror that has the same stem and base, so it would be a direct replacement. It is desgned as a direct replcement on Mini's, check out Mini Spares etc.

There are loads of other bullet mirrors, check out Europa Spares or .Quality Components Ltdfor example, but they all seem to have bolt on fittings. So you will need to take the door cards out at the very least. (Well I can't think of another way to fasten the nut on)
