i just been watching only fools and horses on uktv gold +1 and saw a brown p6 tnk***m as a set car my GF say there was a blue one as well and lots of other old cars and a mk1 blue transit luton..

I recently bought a Fawlty Towers box set, and there is an Almond or Tobacco Leaf 3500S at the end of one of the epsiodes. Basil manages to offend the well to do couple, and they wheel spin off!

Heh-heh, I've got that on tape Richard!, it is indeed Tobacco Leaf. (IIRC the episode is called 'A touch of class').

You reckon its an 'S'?, I could never make my mind up! :D

Well, the noises it made when it pulls away suggest that it's not an automatic. But I guess that could always have been overdubbed at some point!

John Cleese is a comic genius. I love the bit on that episode, when he finds out that the guy is a con man, and goes completely nuts! Other favourite episodes of mine are "The Germans", "Basil the Rat", and "Gourmet Night". When Basil starts "Goose Stepping" in "The Germans" it has me in stitches every time. It reminds me of "The Ministry of Silly Walks" from Monty Python!

doing a forum search on 'fawlty' will return some good posts from the past on this subject

saw a program on cable the other nite car,nt remember what it was called just skipping through the channels.I think it was abut cars anyway at the end it showed what was going to be on the following week and it said how small can you crush a fiat car it then showed a red p6 hitting the parked fiat arse end.will try and see what program it is next week.

Perhaps someone should do a DVLA search for the Fawlty P6!

I don't fancy the Fiat's chances much! Some of the smaller Fiat's have the structural integraty of a mouldy tomato!

I remember "A touch of class" was the 1st ever episode of Fawlty Towers. It was eagerly awaited & I recall watching it with the family & my Dad roaring with laughter. I think I noticed the P6 too as I always thought they were great-looking cars.
