Bolt sizes

Hi Guys,

I have no bolts for the fuel pump or starter motor for my P6B project..
Can anyone tell me the size and thread for these please.

Hi Duane,

The fuel pump bolts are 5/16" UNC - 1 1/8" long. The starter motor bolts are 3/8" UNC - 1 5/16" long. Both are grade 5 bolts identified by 3 radial lines on the top face of the bolt head.

I seem to recall seeing cap screws used on starter motors.....easier to access the head with an allen key? Socket access can be a problem?

Which is which? The book shows m45g using a hex-head bolt with a scredriver slot in the head - 90611504; 3m100 shows a normal hex head bolt with same number without the slot. Numbers starting 90 dont appear in the index.

The numbers for the bolts are in the index, right at the back starting on page 18-48.

In terms of starter motor size, the 3M100 is larger when compared to M45, so it is my understanding. The M45 is a later model replacing the earlier and larger 3M100.

OK, found the oddly numbered pages -well, numbers inconsistent with the rest of the parts manual.
thanks

The 90 prefix is just to identify it as a Rover part 611504 as opposed to a Triumph part 611504 renumbered 88611504
