My P6 has an "aftermarket" a/c that is a bit of an eyesore. Those in the know tell me that because the various components at the time were so big and bulky the only option was to split the dash and cobble the whole lot into the cabin, resulting in what in my car at least is an unsightly bodged finish.
My question is this... did the UK cars have a factory fitted a/c that left the dash looking "original" or is this a common feature worldwide. My compressor is a single piston YORK that is enormous and required the removal of the engine stay on the front left of the motor to fit it in.
If anyone of you can enlighten me on this I would be very greatful. I would like to have a/c but if I can get the dash looking better that would be great.
Thanks a lot,
John.
