4 pot, top oil pipe to chain tensioner

Mine has developed a leak, well she's had a little dribble of a leak for a while now and I've finally traced it to this pipe. I zipped tied a bit of see throw plastic pipe from end to end and watched it slowly fill up with oil so I'm 100% sure it's gone. Had been wasting my time redoing all the places the oil pipes bolt on and redoing the sills around the oil pump with out solving the leak until I tried this and bingo, that's where it is coming from. Real pain as the leak is just enough to make the engine wet and leave a little patch over night but not enough to require frequent topping up.

I really want a like new or NOS part. Can't find a listing on JHW site. Any idea's? Could I send it of to be rebuilt without costing loads????

Ta. :)

It's the pipe running from the oil pump to the top chain tensioner near where the oil pump is driven from. This is on the 4 pot engine, sorry no part number. The manual calls it the top tensioner oil feed pipe.

Ah yes that's the monkey. May have to buy that one and get it remade, don't want to take the old girl off the road for that sake of a little incontinence. Some more goggling required, I'm sure I've seen an advert for a place that can make these maybe a motor sport company.

That's what I though so after replacing the washers twice I started to renew the other oil seals thinking that many be it is leaking else where and spashing around that area. After failing to fix it I warpped it up with a couple of zip ties and some clear tube around where the pipe meets the banjo adaptor and bingo, it slowly filled up with oil! No question it's leaking, maybe around the joint. Any way found this site that seem to have all the bits to fabricate a replacement. I'm going to mail them to get an idea of cost and if I could send an example for them to pick the correct replacements.

In view of the fact that it's not a common fault surely it's worth getting a s/h one and using that. Someone on here should have one.
