Hi All
Sorry for the delay. Oddly I didn't get notifications of your replies so I was oblivious to the interest. In the meantime someone has made me an offer on the complete car that was too good to refuse, so I'm sorry for the inconvenience for those looking to buy parts but I'm pleased to...
Some photos here:
Rover P6 Parts by Matthew Lee
The lighting is pretty awful so the colours (especially the interior) look varied, but it's just the lighting. I'll get the car out at the weekend and get some much better photos...
I've backed myself into a corner with so many other projects and the bodywork is a massive turn-off - I prefer mechanics over bodywork! That said, I've spotted a grey series 1 on ebay (you may have spotted it too) and it needs a new steering wheel, a nice (ideally mango) interior and some nicer...
It is with a rather heavy heart that I have decided that I don't have the time, funds and, ultimately, the enthusiasm to finish the P6 3500S project I started a couple of years back. Consequently I am selling all of its constituent parts (if someone is interested in the complete car then there...
Due to a new job and relocation I have a number of things I'm selling from an abandoned project including these springs and dampers.
The fronts are actually on the car although the car hasn't been driven with them on. The springs are 10% stiffer than standard and the fronts are 20mm lower...
Mine's a 3500S so I'm not sure if the carpets differ at all?
The carpet set of £300-odd so I'd like to get a reasonable amount given its condition (I was thinking £100-odd on ebay so maybe £80 here?). I'm heading to Reigate in 10 days time so there might be scope for meeting up to hand over...
I have a 1973 3500S that I've had to abandon the project on and I have most of what you're looking for:
Full cream interior in box-pleat ambler (not leather but I'm pretty sure you won't find leather so I wonder if ambler is what you're looking for)
Full interior switches etc.
Full set of...
To be fair JRW prices are reasonable so I might just go for the seat retrim from them and get some spare leather to match up/ contrast other areas of the car.
As per the title, I'm looking for some interesting wheels for my 3500s. Rostyles considered if condition good, otherwise condition unimportant as I'm happy to get refurbished. I'm pretty open minded about budget too
I'm wanting to price up a full retrim on my 3500S and I'd like to get advice on who is recommended (especially as it's box pleat). The JRW offerings seem ok but I want to replace ALL Ambla with leather so I reckon a custom retrim is the way to go.
Anyone got any experience (good or bad) that...
It's just going dark and it's now too late to take photos. I've been a bit too busy driving it around today! Can you blame me? What a day!!!
Will get some photos up as soon as I can...
And I'm delighted with it. Drove it 110 miles back and it didn't miss a beat. Only trouble is, I'm a mod-aholic and I've just spent the last four hours wondering what mods I'm going to do!! A bit more noise, filling the arches (possibly including a suspension drop and probably wheels) and...
