I'm just about to put my intake manifold back on after having the carbs rebuilt. In the past I have had problems with not quite getting a gas tight seal on the manifold, does anyone use any sealant in addition to the standard gasket? If so, what one/type? Thanks John

Has anybody tried running with Webers or any other type of carb instead of SU's? My SU's are about shot, so it's either a rebuild of the existing ones or try and get something else more efficient. Any opinions? John

I replaced the boot on one of my top ball joints last week. In the process I managed to mangle the upper part of the thread fairly badly with my remover (a scissor type tool I think is the name for it). I've managed to re-assemble OK, but think it may be worth replacing the entire ball joint...

How do I get the darn thing out? I've removed the small screw on the side of the piston, but it still just won't come out. Fortunately, this isn't something I need for my own car, I'm just stripping it down and rebuilding it for 'fun'. Grrrr. Any advice appreciated. John

Hi, When I converted from 2200SC to 2200TC, I kept my old radiator. Should I really be using a radiator with an oil cooler? In fact, is the oil cooler a seperate entity altogether on these cars? I am overheating in traffic, so was going to get my rad re-cored (it's in a bit of a state)...
