Oh yeah?
After findig what I thought is a bit of useful info among this heap of irrelevant drivel,
I tried to obtain NPSM fittings, not an easy task in today's UK.
Hence I ordered me some from America, at considerable cost, I have you know.
Of course they turned out to be the wrong ones!
I...
Ex-Junkman V8 now in Resale Red:

I have no idea why this car attracts people who festoon it with daft steering wheels and gear knobs:
I had to remove similar rubbish after I had bought it.
Also, it's not a 3500S. It's an automatic that was...
Excellent, thanks a lot!
I'll have this checked next week.
The gearbox was indeed standing for a while and the speedo drive was seized.
Maybe the same goes for the guv'nor.
OK, I put another gearbox in, also a BW 65.
That one is a bit reluctantly shifting up.
1-2 happens at 35, 2-3 only at 60, even when trying to force it by lifting off.
3-2 downshift happens at 30+, 2-1 downshift apparently normal (hardly noticeable).
From one second to the next, my BW 65 doesn't shift into neutral or reverse.
Drive still works, i.e. the car drives froward no matter which gear your select, except P, which actuates the parking pawl, but even then forward is still engaged.
So none of you ugly lot in the UK is willing to sell this poor old man a used BW35, despite you are sitting on piles of them?
You disgust me.
Chris, if you want, you can have my BW65 for free. It comes with the converter and kickdown cable. Unfortunately something is broken and I haven't...
From a late series 2 (Oct 1975), ca. 89,000 miles.
Has been run with too high a pressure for a while, will not shift into gear at all.
Gearbox is complete with torque converter, it's out of the car and ready for pick up in Stockport.
Required is the actual plate, part number 601910.
Yes, they usually don't go wrong, but this one is so rusty, it broke.
It wouldn't hurt if the slider sheet going on top of it came with it, but we can make it ourselves if need be.
The car has performed flawlessly ever since I installed the electric fuel pump.
You clowns all are full of shit and I am right, as always.
Why nobody ever listens to me despite I'm always right, is a phenomenon that will never cease to amaze me.
I'm running points and condenser and the car never gave the slightest ignition problems.
My car suffered badly from fuel vapour locks that I tried to cure for four years unsuccessfully.
Since the electric pump is installed, the car has not put a foot wrong, so I don't need any
advice.
