    V8 mechanical fuel pump fittings

Oh yeah? After findig what I thought is a bit of useful info among this heap of irrelevant drivel, I tried to obtain NPSM fittings, not an easy task in today's UK. Hence I ordered me some from America, at considerable cost, I have you know. Of course they turned out to be the wrong ones! I...

For all future reference: The thread of the inlet/outlet pipes is 1/4" BSP and nowt else. It's 19 TPI as opposed to NPSM, which is 18 TPI.

    1:18 & 1:24 P6 models

I received mine as well. The only criticisms: Wrong wheel covers and the medaillon on the bootlid is too small and in the wrong position.

GAA 12K is up for sale again

Ex-Junkman V8 now in Resale Red: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161847799873 I have no idea why this car attracts people who festoon it with daft steering wheels and gear knobs: I had to remove similar rubbish after I had bought it. Also, it's not a 3500S. It's an automatic that was...

Does anyone have a good kickdown cable kicking about, please? And maybe a leftover tailshaft housing gasket from the last rebuild kit? Cheers!

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

Excellent, thanks a lot! I'll have this checked next week. The gearbox was indeed standing for a while and the speedo drive was seized. Maybe the same goes for the guv'nor.

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

That crimp has been removed a long time ago. No, the valve is deffo closed when the pedal isn't pushed, we verified this with the sump off.

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

It does that even when the cable isn't connected to the accelerator linkage.

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

OK, I put another gearbox in, also a BW 65. That one is a bit reluctantly shifting up. 1-2 happens at 35, 2-3 only at 60, even when trying to force it by lifting off. 3-2 downshift happens at 30+, 2-1 downshift apparently normal (hardly noticeable).

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

Front clutch stuck on is also my impression. Any idea what could have caused this?

    V8 BW65 stuck in drive

From one second to the next, my BW 65 doesn't shift into neutral or reverse. Drive still works, i.e. the car drives froward no matter which gear your select, except P, which actuates the parking pawl, but even then forward is still engaged.

    Caliper part (#601910)

Required is the actual plate, part number 601910. Yes, they usually don't go wrong, but this one is so rusty, it broke. It wouldn't hurt if the slider sheet going on top of it came with it, but we can make it ourselves if need be.

Haunted V8 finally gets fuel pump driven by electrickery

The car has performed flawlessly ever since I installed the electric fuel pump. You clowns all are full of shit and I am right, as always. Why nobody ever listens to me despite I'm always right, is a phenomenon that will never cease to amaze me.

Haunted V8 finally gets fuel pump driven by electrickery

I'm running points and condenser and the car never gave the slightest ignition problems. My car suffered badly from fuel vapour locks that I tried to cure for four years unsuccessfully. Since the electric pump is installed, the car has not put a foot wrong, so I don't need any advice. The...
