There shouldn't be as it's not a straight copy. Mine is different in design, construction and final finish. The fittings are also different. They just happen to fit the Rover P6 and it's Lucas fitting. Mine has been designed from scratch.

Hi all, just a quick update. Been a bit busy lately, (Mrs-to-be has come over from the 'States) but I've got the measurements and design laid out and I'm about to make the fitting for mine. I'll post up some pics and raise a thread in the for-sale section if anyone would like one of their own...

I can compare the measurements with the inside of the Lucas lens, however it won't just be as simple as putting one of those under the standard mounting. The lens points in the wrong direction unless it is mounted at an incline to match the standard Lucas setup. Another alternative is to fit...

Wow, a year has passed!!!!! I may have had to re-register, but I've secured a small industrial unit, exhibited at the NEC, started setting up my own custom metalworking business and finally started work on the 3500! So far all I've been able to do is begin the stripdown and start dismantling...

I can go to prototype with conventional bulbs in a matter of weeks possibly. LED could be investigated too!

Good point. I'll have a look at my corroded unit and see if I can devise an electrically isolated solution.

Aha! So, the centre console, shin bins, switch gear and crash pads are all separate items bolted into the car? There's not a single dash unit? Flippin' obvious now I think about it! :lol: :wink:

Rear number plate lights, the electric fitting on mine is rotted out and I understand it's a common problem? I've checked Wadhams and they don't seem to have a repair piece like they do for the sidelight? I ask because with the tooling I've got lying about I should be able to reproduce one...

Hi all Sorry for dredging up the old post, but does anyone have any pics of the Wadhams repair kit for the sidelights? One of mine has dropped the lamp holder it's so corroded. I'd sketched up a repair item of my own but I might forgo building it if the Wadhams one is better! Cheers guys!

Hi all Does anyone have a link to a good dash removal thread with lots of pics? I think Stina had one? I've looked for it, but sadly drawing a blank. I'm about to start bracing the N/S of the car and plasma the rotten remains of the sill out, but I don't want to risk getting the dash damaged...
