Durint the day I work in IT (and previously electronics) so in my own time i like to get "hands on" with things. I have always been keen on working on cars, and am pretty much self taught.

I have always had an interst in older cars, and bought a MG midget in my mid 20s. I still have this, and over the nearly 25 years of owning this, i have pretty much done a full restoration (engine \ suspension rebuild etc all myself). and a lage amount of rust repair. But as i got a fmaily i could never drive a 2 seater and take the kids. So as time went on I have owned several other Classics including Min`s etc. I started looking at bigger cars, and fell for the P^, I really like the story of how far adavnced it was, and that it had so many firsts. I Finally bought a P6 in 2022. It was in pretty poor condition (didnt run, seized brakes poor electrics, bad interior), with a view to being my next project. I have been slowly resurecting this car, and have got all the rust repaired, and the brakes /suspension sorted, so all safe again. Rebuilt Su`s and rewired distributr, now runs again! Also restored a lot of the original interior. Once i`m happy with the reliability (as good as a classic can be) i`ll look at the paint which is bubbling on the bonnet, and pretty faded all over, after that. I really like to drive and use the cars, and not just do car shows (although i usually do a couple a year). I just like it when people come up and talk to you at randomplaces (tesco carpark etc).
