Thanks very much for your help. The adjusters are slackened right off,so you cant see the pistons Its a 1963 Rover p4 110 Its in stunning condition the best Ive ever seen I thing the mileage of 57000 may be correct,as the late owner had it for 16 years and did less than 4000 miles in that time...

Since Ive just fitted a new slave cyl.would it be best to bleed the brakes first before fitting the shoes,so the pistons are higher and the shows will fit into the slots+

A close friend has died and I`m checking his car over for his family Ive just fitted a new rear off side slave cyl as the original one was seized I need to refit the brake shoes ,have I got them round the correct way .Just top one in place to see They also seem to be a bit of a pig to get in...

Thanks for the photo My late friend said the brakes were binding badly .So I had the car brought to my garage . I jacked the car up and the rear off side brake was really binding .I managed to remove the drum ,by slacking the adjuster off I didnt really find much wrong with the brake adjuster...

By the way I tried always to remove the old lock barrel and no way would it come out So I bought a new one may as get it right Len

Thanks got it Ive just received a new ign lock but didnt realise they dont come with the barrel How do I take the barrel out of the old lock,an fit it into the new one Len

Where is the battery on a 1963 P4 There is a load of items in the boot ans lots of carpets Save taking all out where is th battery situated I need the disconnect it as the ign switch needs replacing Len

Thank Ive checked the door post and the key is correct so it looks like the switch There appears to be about 7 connections on it .However the new ones look to have less Len
