Hi Ron, for the sake of "originality" I would prefer the original oval canister , but I`m sure subtle mods could be expedited. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Allan.

Hi Ron, sump sourced and fitted (drilled and tapped for windage tray). Another technical question- I`ve now got rebuilt HIF6 carbs. Which needles are best to start out with ? Thanks, Allan.

Thanks for the offer but I`ve got the part I didn`t know was called a windage tray,(what a funny name). Yes looks like the drill and taps are required. Thanks again-- a very friendly forum.

Ron, thanks for the info. I now have my P5B sump with oil pick-up and strainer. The next question is-- the P5 has a separate baffle plate screwed to the lower crankcase. Later sumps have integral baffles in the sump pan. Do you have to drill and tap the block to take the separate baffle plate ...

I`m currently building a 4.6 engine for my p5b and having difficulty finding a p5b sump. Does anyone know if it`s the same as the p6b ? If so, is anyone out there selling one?
