OK Hands up I could have done this better...... rather than replace 1 lead at a time i replaced them all at once.... now it won't start
So firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 - yes?
Sitting in the drivers seat facing forward the left hand bank of cylinders is 1 3 5 7 with 1 at the front of the car and 7 nearest the bulkhead - yes?
Sitting in the drivers seat facing forward the right hand bank of cylinders is 2 4 6 8 with 2 at the front of the car and 8 nearest the bulkhead - yes?
Assuming I've got that right which contact on the dizzy cap is number 1? Looking at the dizzy cap from the top there are the 2 clips that hold it in place. Starting from the clip on the 'engine side' of the dizzy i attached lead from cylinder 1 to the third contact going in a clockwise direction the 8436572 continuing in a clockwise direction.
No joy.
Help please?
Thanks
Richard
