I'm looking for a replacement vacuum pipe on the wiper but searching has found none .
Does anyone know where I can get some or what size it is please?
I think mine has deteriorated and looses air as I have repaired the delay unit
Cheers Russ

Hi, You need to get a bit creative, Try getting some nylon pipe like is used for oil pressure gauges and then a short flexible joiner sleeve each end like washer tubing.

Being pedantic, it doesn't loose air it lets it in.;)

I think that screen wash pipe will not work very well, it is very soft and will be squashed even under the light vacuum. You have to measure the fittings and get some rubber pipe that will fit snugly. My local hydraulic shop had plenty of choice when i needed some, but i guess that you can always buy something suitable on-line.

Have you checked the length of the pipe for damage?

I would need to check but I dont think it is one piece to the steering column. If you find a cut you can glue it or cut it out and use a joining piece to connect the pipe. A pet shop might have bits from a fish tank etc.

They have fish tank pipe on eBay but I am inclined to agree with Demetris that the vacuum could be so be strong that it may squeeze the pipe shut but I haven’t tried it so can’t say for certain.

In the parts list there appears to be a join near the column where the little adjuster is plumbed in. The thin pipe is like the vacuum pipe to the distributer, I think that is available by the metre.

After looking at the pipe I thought it looked like it is a bit brittle so figured a replacement would be a good idea being as the delay unit is working fine
