Windscreen Washer Pipe Route and Clips

Hi all,

This is in the electrical sub-forum because the parts I'm talking about are in the electrical bit of the Parts Manual, but aren't actually electrical...

Does anyone have an image of the correct route for the windscreen washer pipe on a Series 1 2000? After a lot of faffing about with blockages, I've cleaned out all my pipes and nozzles but the pipework is lying sloppily across the top of the engine and will no doubt get caught on something. Looking at the parts manual, it seems that the pipe is supposed to be clipped to the bonnet with 6 strappy clip things (part number 567817). My car has two of these intact but the rest are missing.

Is there a source for these clips? Google points out John Craddock (as it's apparently a part shared with Range Rovers) but at £5.10 + VAT each it looks a bit steep! Are there any cheaper sensible alternatives?

Thanks as ever for any insights :)

Almost certainly something that will fit there - thanks very much! Will need to measure the existing clips and the holes on the bodywork to make sure I get something that fits.

Here are some pics. This is the arrangement I have mostly seen (full disclosure — my knowledge is NADA cars), late 69 cars had plastic straps in the holes you can see in the hood brace in the 68/69 car pic. Except for the larger hose coming from the tee on the 68-69 car pic, the hood shots are as built though it is hard to say if the third clip is just moved from the rusty spot on the 66-67 pic or the rusty spot is where a fourth clip sat. I'm pretty sure it's three, not four.

Yours
Vern

Thanks so much Vern - that makes sense. My car seems to have used the straps fitted in the round holes (see pic), but I like the look of your Z-clips over the panel edge. Mine's a 1968 UK market 2000 SC. It's seen plenty of messing about, so I couldn't vouch for how original or otherwise the arrangement is.
