Windscreen trim anomaly

The stainless steel trim bits seem to be poking out more than they should in the top corner, leaving a gap between trim and rubber. Does any one know what's happened here please? Is this a trim issue or a windscreen fitting issue, or is something else more sinister going on?

Is it a new rubber?
Unfortunately some don't fit nice in the corners on most cars I have seen.
Still looking for a original one for mine.

No - original rubber. I’m worried about water getting in.

Although to be honest I avoid taking the car out in the wet. But that’s beside the point.

Looks like a dismantle and rebuild job.

Sigh.
