white rover now home

Hi thanks. Ok hear goes i have a doner 2200sc engine in .
I want to recon the orginal engine . But i want to fit a 2200tc head to the block .
I m wondering if or who i can get to carry out the work for me as it is beyond me.
Also i will need to start collecting all the bits to do this.
Any pointers or if anyone knows of a 2200 tc with all the bits would be great.
This will be an on going job but i would like get this done as i do like the 22tc

Hi all im trying to fit these to my white rover but they are not fitting very well.
Do I need to change the hub for these ,or fit a spacer of some kind and longer studs. they just don't seem to sit well on the hub.
regards

Hi, you will need to change the grease cap for a SD1 one, this will allow the wheel to sit
back against the hub. If the wheel/tyre is rubbing against the pillar then you need to fit
3500 hubs. Do you have the nuts to go with the wheels? If yes, then you need to change
to metric studs. Ford studs from Ebay are cheaper than SD1 ones -

If you don't have the nuts try MrT he should have suitable one,s with 7/16" threads. -

Hi thanks I have the 3500s wheel nuts, the long ones, I will hut some grease caps down. I removed the grease cap and tried to fit them but it seems very tight on the centre raised area so I was nt sure if they will fit the 2200 hub.
thanks

Hi, unless you tapered seat inserts in the wheel you can't use the 3500 S wheel nuts.
You will need sleeve nuts with 7/16" thread or SD1 nuts with a change of stud. Just
clean the centre bore of the wheel and the hub with emery, they should be a nice fit.
Don't forget to copaslip there as well because they can be a git to get off when they
have been on a while.
