white NADA FWE 84H finally restored

hi
this is my davos white 1970 NADA with a toledo red leather interior that has just been finished.
as promised some photos of my dads NADA that i have inherited.
the car was stripped down by my dad at the start of 2012 but due to illhealth the project ground to a hault. after finding out that it was cancer that was stopping him from working on the car he thought he had no chance of seeing the car finished but his close freinds ( roly shaw, david taylor, roddy and allan mcloud and richard cleal)
came at the start of this year and finished the car for him spending a week solid on finishing it. i would just like to thank the help of these close to my dad otherwise the car would still be in peices and probably would have been to much for me to do on my own.he managed to have plenty of enjoyment of the car and hopefully i will soon be having many years of enjoyment out of it.

I can confirm that that red leather interior looks much better in real life than in those pictures. Absolutely wonderful.

And don't forget Rich Moore's coachlining and other skills!

Chris

That is one fine looking car Joseph. I love that red leather interior. My P5 project has red leather so I'm looking forward to seeing if look that good.

Well done all involved.

Dave

I notice the first pick the car had a Fuel Injected engine, later ones had what looked like the genuine one? was that an engine swap or just the manifolding etc?

Yeah, when it was first set up by my dad for the road he decided to go for range rover fuel injection on the 3.5 engine but when the paint and interior were done it was put back to the American spec su carbs with the aed (automatic enrichment device)as he was struggling to get it to run right with the fuel injection.

Wow! Please let us know who did your interior. I want. I want....
It was a car and coach trimmer not to far down the road from me,he even put the holes in-between the box pleat whereas others wont but he wouldn't do the speaker holes in the parcel shelf and I remember my dad sat and punched them all out :D :D

I remember chatting to him about the RR injection setup. He was never quite sure whether it would work. If you still have the kit and want to do it one day then mega squirt is now much more established than it was a few years back. I like SUs personally...

All of the system was sold on ebay to fund for the completion of the car but I was talking to mark gray about it and he also has a good idea about why I wouldn't work as he was the one who put it on while it was at reg's.
My dad was the same,he prefered to keep it as standard as possible as it is how it should be that is why he whent back to SU's
