the P6 went on for many years, from 1963 - 1977.
so chances are, at some point your P6 was superseded by a different car, even if years later (like me) you came back to a P6 once more.
so in 1977 I bought a P6 Rover 2000 auto, this was swapped over in 1982 for a P6 Rover 2200TC which I continued with until 1990, when that got sold and I became the proud owner of a blue Jaguar, photo attached showing me on a kids day out at Chessington World of Adventures 1991.
