wheeler dealers

Sod wheeler dealers, im now addicted to wrecks to riches, what beautiful cars they make (although i question their workflow!)

i want an american musclecar!

I like wrecks to riches as well. You have to wonder how well you can rebuild a wreck in seven days though. Anyway, I have seen them all I think. Move on to 'Chasing Classic cars' with Wayne Carini !

^ I was watching that somewhere, it's a bit of BS too I think... Very American, lots of hype and yelling.

Now that guy is a pillock, and doesn't appear to know a thing about restoration either

I like the Morgan episode, where they rag it round a track even though it's spewed its water everywhere  It's what the previous owner would have wanted :?

He seems to make money either way and it's interesting at some of the auctions :)

Hi, I have not seen these programmes so should not really comment. But are they
making money at this or is it clever editing? I have done 1 day resprays on cheap
cars that just need a freshen up or to be all the same colour but they are not all
that, as you would expect. Don't forget the camera can be very flattering from a
distance. "Good from far and far from good"

I can remember Salvage Squad and their Bristol renovation. For part of the programme
they are stripping and repairing the next thing it is back from a top notch respray as if
by magic which then gets scratched with ensuing recriminations, 10 mins later it is gone.
All this is supposed to be on a tight schedule.

I get the impression that Wayne Carini is more interested in the money he makes , rather than the cars .I find him rather irritating , plus he's not "hands-on"

I remember that episode too. I really liked Salvage Squad because you never knew what you'd be getting - an old steam boat or an 18th century water mill! That said, that Gerry bloke was really annoying. He never seemed to do anything, and it was clear the others didn't completely trust him - rightly so too, because every episode he'd round a nut, or cross-thread a bolt, or something! And he never owned up to it either!
Bring it back! Suggs was a brilliant presenter of that!

Watched I once, saw the 'bodge it and scarper' techniques and never watched it again. It makes me blood boil knowing that they're going to make a complete badge of some of these timeless American classics, the charger especially. Grrrrrrrr!!

I agree that some of the mods that are done on the classics they get a hold of are a bit cringy. But I think it's a real-world show on how to tidy up you classic as apposed to totally rebuilding it to brand new - 'Wrecks to Riches' spring to mind. Even the quick tidy up jobs they do would be hugely expensive and time consuming to any of us - presuming your all poverty stricken like me. I'm sure they don't make any profit at all when you include Ed's wages, and Mike's fuel bills :?:

Wayne Carini may not be 'hands on', and he may only be interested in the money, but he still has got a better job than I have!
