well some Fords literally travelled from the 60s straight across the 70s as did our classic Rovers, so what was your best Ford of the era?
for me it was the Capri when I was working up in Kennington in 1976 a mate of mine had a Capri and it was just magic to go out in around London , fabbo motor

which was your best Ford?

For me, my best ford was a MKIV Zodiac 3.0 litre V6 four on the floor manual with comfy bucket seats that had been an ex Police car so had some suspension mods (slightly lowered) and I am sure a few other tweeks, handled like it was on rails. Lovely metallic green paint it looked the mutts nuts.

Had owned MK II's and III's plus a Zephyr MKIV 3.0 V6 as well but none compared to the Zodiac.

Rebuilt the engine with 3 times oversized pistons, did a few head mods and put some nice flows on it, never put it on a dyno but I was regularly taking down other V8's back in my younger days.

Eventually sold it, saw it a few years later, repainted a lovely metallic blue but since then it seems to have disappeared off the planet.

I've got a 1971 Mk2 Cortina in the garage next to my 1970 P6B. It's in the process of getting an engine upgrade to a 3.5 RV8.

Ha ha
My favourite Ford is a '65 GT350. I missed the boat big time getting one of those, but I did own this a short while back.

This last one entitled 'And bigger fools look on'.
The Mk2 Corty being jacked, sidewinder & Wolfrace equipped (large rears, smaller fronts) with completely standard engine.

It's not a left-hooker, the photo is reversed.
