It's been snowing here all day but I've measured the depth & it's only about 2 to 2 1/2 inches deep despite what the traffic reports would have us believe, saying that though I've just had my Dad on the phone he says my Mother's going round with one wellington on cos they said on the radio there was going to be a foot of snow

Been hovering around freezing all day here..and just started snowing 10 minutes ago. Not settling yet though, so hopefully I won't get snowed in at the pub later...or maybe I will! :)

Been snowing on and off here

I have started to egt fed up with it now as I slipped up on the ice yesterday and am now in pain :?

LOL

I remember back in '76 when we had that oh so long hot hot summer, and a radio DJ said that Clarke's had gone out to the severn bridge as it had grown an extra foot in the heat

It was horrendously icy on Sat night & I was at some friends for tea & a few tins of wobbly apple juice & when I left I slipped & landed almost under my Volvo (which spent the night there by the way) & I fell another twice on the way home I just couldn't get any grip. I of course admit the alcohol could have affected my balance somewhat aswell

1/2 way between Glasgow & Edinburgh, couple of days snow in last 2 weeks but not too much of a problem. Been very cold here, ice patches all over, slippy in car parks and side roads. Freezing fog tonight.

Like beer for breakfast, but whisky for supper.

Woke up this morning to find a bit of rain had washed away most of the snow, still a few people falling over on the side roads and driveways though. Roll on Spring, Summer and dry roads...

3500

Here in Sydney we endured two weeks of 35 plus temperatures...44 degrees C was the hottest! Had to drive part way into the city one morning,...I have an in car thermometer with a sender outside so it provides both inside and ouside temperatures. Outside was 38 degrees C,...wait for it.....50.5 degrees C inside...talk about hot! One great thing though, with my new 4.6 litre Range Rover engine, the coolant temperature barely rose above 85 degrees at most the whole time..fantastic.

Now the hot stretch has given way to cool cloudy days with showers,...19 to low 20s at best, just over a week of those now and more to come. So much easier to sleep.

Ron.

35 plus temperatures Ron? sheesh! we just had that in London, the nights were sheer terror at 24 I think it was :( blimmen heck, getting back to normal now though

falkor, yes, Rangoon, Burma it is!
Unfortunately, no P6, I work here on a 6/6 rotation. My old girl is parked in the garage at home in Cape Town waiting patiently to get put back to daily use status. She needs a bit of work and the money is lacking right now.

Cape Town John, wow! got any piccies of the old girl love to see it:)

so last night in all that rain, winds, flooded road took my P6 across Surrey to my daughter's flat, she was locked out, my missus in the passenger seat "I'M GETTING WET!" water seeping in through top door rubbers on F/N/S door, roads with water flooded across about an inch or two deep! hehe a P6 shouldn't be out in this!! clicked on the rear heated windscreen, well the button illuminated GREAT! but the rear windscreen didn't clear
