Webasto style sunroof can you still get them

Can you still get folding style sunroofs fitted. Always fancied getting one fitted to my 3500S. I know the big maker back in the day was Webasto but can't find anyone that still supplies/fits them. I keep looking out for a second hand one but they don't come round very often from what I can see.

Well good luck with your hunt. I actually went out of my way to make sure I found a car that DIDNT have one! Clunky horrid things that look a mess when open and almost guaranteed to leak when closed! But whatever floats your boat as they say . . .

here in sunny Australia its best not to have one, the sun burns ones head and arms.
I used to drive my Morgan 4/4 with the hood up , most of the time, just for that reason, even more applicable now that I'm in my 70's and having to pay a visit to the skin cancer doctor every 6 months to have the darned things "burnt off"...
Webasto , you are a NO NO in my book.........

Webasto are still around, they buy glue from us :)

Don't know if they do the sunroofs from Doncaster though, I know they make heaters for truck cabs and the like.

And make the car noisy even when closed. I share your point of view on them.

Same goes for any type of glass sunroof too, all of the above and they give me Migraine headaches from the incident sunlight, four strikes.....

Ive got a "Panoramic" full length sunroof in my Peugeot 3008. Never use it . Grandies play with the open/shut switch when they're bored from Poppa's driving.

Does the sunroof open as well so that when you are bored with the kids they can just "pop" out the roof (at speed of course) :D

Dunno, always drove our old 54 Sunbeam Alpine with the top down (4 point harness made it too difficult to raise). Drive the MX5 topless except on freezing mornings like the last couple of days or when the temp gets into the 30s. but always wear a hat ....slip, slop, slap. Also in 70s and have the same frequency of visits to the dermatologist.

Sunroofs are not meant for opening when it's sunny. Sooooo much better of warm Sumer evenings, or winter crisp winter mornings. Never had problems with them leaking.

I have a Britax folding sunroof on my Triumph Vitesse and loved it (when last on the road about 8 years back) so have mothballed one for a P6. It's complete, fitted to a P6 roof and hopefully still in good condition though the headlining for the roof itself got damaged during removal. The very big question is whether I'll ever get around to fitting it. I guess I might be persuaded to sell if someone waved a thick enough wad of cash in front of my nose.

My 2000TC has a Webasto-type folding roof and my daily drive is an MX5 and they're both open whenever the weather permits.
However they both generate large amounts of wind noise which can be wearing.
Incidentally, I've driven an MX5 topdown in light snowfall and none finished up in the cockpit after a 5 hour trip. Windows up & heater full blast.
Like MikeMelb and ButterFingers I'm in my 70's and have scalp cancers (benign) but I managed to sustain them from puny North European sunlight! Hat worn at all times nowadays.
