Looking for a simulated wood steering wheel part no. 560215, ideally complete with Viking ship centre boss ready to fit straight to car.
Cash waiting for the right wheel with no cracks and not colour faded...
Thanks in advance if anyone can help...

Good luck, you’ll need it. I’ve had my eyes open for a perfect one for 20 years now with no success.

The rim is so thin they all seem to quickly crack at the spokes

Evening Simon,
I may well me selling my simulated wood steering wheel. I can provide close ups shortly, but you can check if the wheel is of interest in my post within the Selling section ' Series 2 Auto'. Note: my wheel has a small split in the wood rim - I understood this was common for all these wood effect rims - but I stand to be corrected here

Failing this, I see one is advertised on the following site:

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your reply. I'll hang on for one without a split but being realistic I'm not hopeful especially as Vern has lengthened the odds somewhat with his own experience...

I bought a Moto-Lita Cobra wheel and redrilled it to fit the std rover boss. I ordered the 'thicker' rim option, but dont recommend it for a P6 - they only thickened it on the back -easier than widening the alloy and doing it all around - and this makes it hard to get the horn lever to work. It looks good but...

That’s via mark at MGBD and it’s not in stock or available. I sold mine that I purchased and 8 years ago and used in my P6 3500S. It was just a little on big side for me. It had usual small splits where it joined the spokes - but over 8 years on continuous use those splits never got any bigger they stayed as is. Seems they all do it. Sold it for just under £200 I think but I know I paid bit more than that at the time. I went for smaller wood rimmed wheel purchase at NEC restoration show last March. Works well for me and I got the Rover 3500S middle to fit!
