Wanted, vertical rubber strips for rear doors

You mean the outer splash seals that staple into an aluminium former which is riveted to the door? These are available as a set of 6 from Wins. Profile is pretty good.

Yes I have seen them advertised, problem I have I do not have the aluminium strip, so would need some old ones to replace

Hi there,
I have just replaced mine on the rear doors, they are a good reproduction item and fit well. The main problem with them is attaching them to the aluminum strip.
My local upholsterer did not have a staple machine that would go through aluminum, so I ended up gluing them on with contact adhesive, made for weather strips.
Making sure that the new rubber is thoroughly cleaned with mentholated spirits before applying the glue. Once the glue is on, use masking tape to bind the lot together and leave overnight to cure.

I enlarged the original holes slightly and tied it with tinned copper wire - what you use to make links in circuit boards which doesn't rust. Easy if a little time consuming.
