If this is for a P6B you need to make sure that you're not sold a Range Rover flywheel as the are bigger and won't fit inside the bellhousings.

I am asking as I have a flywheel that I dont think is useable - it has its clutch cover threads on a 12" PCD, its been faced off down to just on minimum thickness, and there are what looks like heat cracks still just visible. I assume its a Disco unit?
Thanks.

Disco or Range Rover. As I remember it even if you machined it to take the smaller clutch they are a lot thicker and heavier, which is what makes them foul the bellhousings.

Sorted . In the end I felt that a used flywheel would probably be dodgy due to age and abuse, so I went up market. Lightened units here in Oz are asking A$1000 mostly...But Wedgeshop in US list a 22lb steel, brand new, suit 3.5L , or TR8. Landed price A$560. Looks great, so am all fixed now for the bits I need to balance a rebuilt engine.
TWS Lightened Flywheel 22lbs TR8 - Rover V8, TR8
thanks
