WANTED... tidy 3500...

Well as you can probably see I'm on the lookout for a nice 3500 P6... I had a 1972 2000TC a few years ago and want another one but this time with a bit more power...! It has to be the Series 2 model ('70-'77) and it also has to be MOT'd and ready for the road although it does, by no means, have to be in concours condition, just solid, original, and usable... I don't mind either a manual 'S' model or an auto and am not particularly fussed about the colour either. All I want is a solid, original and reasonably tidy P6 3500 Series 2 with a long MOT (not bothered about tax although it would be nice...!) that can be pressed into service immediately. I'm looking to spend no more than £1500 so as I said I'm not expecting perfection! Either contact me on here or e-mail me on grifterkid@hotmail.com with some pictures if you have them... Thank you all in advance...

Those Rostyles look like they came from a P5B rather than being the proper size for a P6. Having said that I prefer the 15" ones.

I have an inherent mistrust of any car which has been photographed wet.

Mind you, probably worth the money just for the headrests.

A full set just went on ebay for £310.00 plus £20.00 postage!

:D :D Ive got an identical set of headrests front and rear, laid on the back seat of an old Mini in my workshop, waiting to go in my P6.... sorely tempted to sell them now!

I'll give you a fiver for them.

Or..

You wouldn't like to give me some fairly accurate measurements of them; and I'll make me own 8)

my number is 07967 920530 --- they are a fynny shape, curved underneath, rounded on top blah blah blah. U would be better off with ine in your hand, BUT im in Romford, Essex. Call me if u lke and ill av a measure up, Jim

I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to overly high prices obtained on Ebay!!!
Especially as the headrests on Ebay were "Private bidder",so you cant see who won them!!
It wouldnt surprise me if they were forced up by shill bidding to try and make it look like they were extra sought after!in the hope of getting a naive bidder to buy them at a high price!!
Especially as the rear ones were ripped!!
Wouldnt be surprised to see them re-listed in a week or 2!!

Hi i agree with you it seems to be the in thing on ebay to push prices up and get more for your items , as it would be so easy to do you only need a few mates to bid on your item and bingo over priced item
regards
marcus

Another set on for £275 ... all coming out of woodwork. Not a lot of money really, if you consider what you spend on a service kit. I am amazed that people are so loathed to spend money .... My p6 will stand in about £5k ... not to menion the months of labour and chasing about and heartache that has gone into it! But ill park it up next to late BMW "Cooper" cabriolets and TTs and even Focus' and it will be peanuts in comparison.

BUT its about what u want. Not rare in our circles, but how many do you see day to day ...... England for the English ... spend a few quid and get the old girls out and about looking respondent :D I would love to see well looked after, British classics flood the streets, with people becoming aware of what we were once capable of and are capable of again!

Hope to have my car out by St Georges Day, decked out in flags and joining my fleet of 5 minis that line my street for our country's most ignored celebration as I have done for the past 5 years. http://www.stgeorgesday.com/home drive for England and a national holiday! Prehaps Mr Rosindell will sit in the back of my P6 on his journey to Parliament, as we drive past Bobby Moore's old house and marvel at secular London.

The guy is a dealer,so prices will be overly high!!! But he does include uk p/p,worth making an offer on them to test the water!! I wouldnt want to pay that for them!
I reckon £200 is top money!
The paprika car has std teardrop fronts not ET's.
Saying that!! It does look to be a nice car though, and priced well if it is as good as it looks!
Could probably knock him down a few quid in the current climate ? ???

He has just added, "Please note the rear headrests are now NOT included."

I am going to make my own. 8)

I've got to be honest I dont rate that car from what I can see. Rust bubbles in the wings & doors & that interior is a bit ropey, black seats & brown B/C post trims & the driver's seat looks a mess, bearing in mind photos generally make things look better than they are. Yes it's got some nice bits but it's an £800 car in my eyes

Regards Colin
