Greetings fellow P6 keepers, and those who drive inferior vehicles..
I am in need of a piston for an engine I am building. I've tried the usual suspects (JRW, Rimmer Bros, Wins Int), but they have been unable to help me.
What I need is a standard sized W-type (late revision) piston with a 32thou (0.81mm) crown depression for a Rover V8. I have seven good pistons and con rods, and one damaged piston, which is a bit unfortunate. I believe these are 10.5:1 pistons, but I could be wrong. I have a few +20 9.25:1 pistons in a box, and their crown depression is quite a bit more significant, measuring in at 86thou crown depression.
Note: JRW actually have used early type (hole bellow the gudgeon pin) pistons complete with connecting rods for sale, they are of no use to me, but they are charging £160 per unit as a point of reference.
Hopefully someone out there can help me out.
I have included a few pictures and a crude drawing.
