I may have one of those, a supplier sent me a P6 one instead of an SD1 version (I have an SD1 timing cover)

You can buy them for around £10 at a motor factor though

I use Mahle filter number OC118 on my P6, and on my Land-rover (which is the same thread as the SD1) it's a Mahle OC261.

I keep meaning to change the pump cover over on one of them so that I only have to buy one type of filter, but its pretty low on the list of priorities so never seems to get done!

so the part number you have quoted is for a P6 3500 NOT an SD1 3500?

This is where mine came from - Oil Filter - RTC3186P - Aftermarket | Rimmer Bros

By the time I have paid for postage, I would have to charge you about £8, so you might get a better deal from your local factor. Make sure you get the 13/16" thread for the P6 oil pump, and not the 3/4" for the SD1.

Yes, for a P6/Early Range-rover/Land-rover 101fc with the early pump base thread you want the OC118, which is the same as Land-rover part number RTC3186 (as pic of my dirty P6 shows): IMG_20210806_104330.jpg

For an SD1/ Later Range-Rover/ Land-rover Defender etc etc you need OC261, here pictured on my Defender - note the shorter filter body. This is Land-rover part number ERR3340, which also fits the TDI powered vehicles:

Hope this helps
