1.
I've just booked an MOT for my modern car. The earliest free date is 14 September 2023, a 4 month wait.
I live in Northern Ireland and our MOT centres are run by the NI Department for Infrastructure, which is a devolved department. I'm waiting for our devolved Goverment members to go back to work, to sort out the mess of their departments. I don't care for NI politics.....

I took the rear wing of the Rover to a paint shop 6 weeks ago; I was told it would take 4 weeks to paint. It's still not ready.

3.
When I launch my boat, I wait 4 hours for the tide to rise enough, to let it floats away.

4.
When I booked my MOT online, I was in a waiting list with an estimated waiting time of 4 minutes.

What are you waiting for?
What is an acceptable waiting time?

Thanks for listening.....

MoT around here rarely involves a wait of more than a week. However: I lost a filling last Thursday. Can’t get a dental appointment until July 13th.

I had angina for 17 years until I finally managed to convince the NHS that I was ill, so they did an angiogram and discovered that I needed a bypass straight away, the doctor actually stated that I needed a heart bypass, now!

Before the test, they had given me some drugs to help but they had made it considerably worse, I was unable to walk more than a few yards and couldn't climb stairs at the time.

Basically I needed an emergency operation and they put me on a 5 month waiting list
