V8 fuel filter

Hi,

I recently discovered that the fuel filter on my rover p6 has a crack in it and (obviously) needs to be replaced. I went around my local auto factors and i couldnt find one anywhere.The filter is made by by Crosland and it says element no.703 on it .It has two screw fittings on it that cannot be removed,one on either end.Does anyone please know where i can get one of these filters from and how much it will cost me?

Dear Speedy,
In-line fuel filter for V8 might be obtainable from your local Unipart dealer if you quote part number GFE 7004 at him.
You could try J R Wadhams (£6) or S & G Walker (£9-80) both are Rover specialists and both need vat & p&p added.

Try Ian Wilson also on 01302 750747 - he MIGHT have a new old stock filter and will post to you......cheaper than others I have found!)
 
Thanks for all your help. I have managed to locate an AC fuel filter and it is now fitted so my car is running again. :D
