Timing/distribution chain

Indeed, I consigned them to scrap as soon as I removed one, then I found the extreme one!
I kept them in order just to have a record of how the engine was.

Oh for those interested I found out that John Eales makes an adjustable timing set for Gems 4.6 engines and front covers.
 
A bit of thread resurrection. What is current thinking on choice of timing kits. I see Turner Engineering use standard factory kits which l think l would lean towards but where may a good factory type kit be acquired from? The Wins kit looks to have a large nylon sprocket but l would like steel.

Real Steel now supply the cam spocket in steel which is a direct replacement for the nylon one.
