Did anyone watch this program on Wednesday ?

If you missed it then you missed seeing a white Rover P6B Estate on the telly !!!!!!!

The flip side is that you also missed it being turned onto its side so the engine and box could be ripped out and put into an Nissan Micra.

It looked quite servicable also.

Anyone know the car ?
 
Does anyone believe these cars are built in the time claimed ?
It seems that one minute they are welding 2 bits of cars together and an hour later they have finished . What about fuel lines , electrics, gear linkages etc ?

There was a programme on TV about a car designer from India and a mechanic from the East End (of London ) who had 6" wheel spacers machined up for one of his creations. How would it steer ?

Some of these programmes insult your intelligence
 
I know the Beardmore Brothers (green team) quite well, and if John says they built it in the time then they did. Plus if anybody can they can !

If you read his account of the event he states that the other teams had to take the cars away to be finished, which I guess isn't exactly fair.

I'm sure there's plenty of "tinkering time" given, as they say on Scrapheap Challenge :D
