Throttle return spring

Hi all. I have a slightly sticking throttle on my 3500S that often will not return to tickover unless I blip the throttle. Its intermittent and has much improved after cleaning and oiling the linkages. It now sometimes stays at 1000rpm but returns to a stady 750 after the blip. I want to replace the return spring but it seems that these are difficult to obtain. Has anyone found an alternative?

Thanks

Hi have you checked/ adjusted the throttle linkage joining the carbs?
This is covered in workshop manual, I normally disconnect the 2 carbs linkage when adjusting idle etc.
Run engine with the small upright throttle linkage disconnected that will also eliminate any throttle linkage/ pedal problem.

Hi, if your engine is equipped with twin SU HIF6's, throttle return springs along with most other SU parts are available from Burlen fuel systems.
